Photography has always been my passion. Whether
shooting a wedding, waiting for the right moments in a sporting event, or
exploring an artist’s view in black and white, the reason I shoot has always
been the same. I shoot for myself. Perhaps I should explain. I view
photography as an extension of how I am. As a photographer, I always strive for
excellence in my work. The main job of a photographer is to be able to tell a
story through pictures. This is why a strong image will not only tell a story
about what is being seen in the photograph, but also about the photographer who
took the photo. A good friend and photographic mentor once told me that the
business of photography is all about people. The most important thing to a
photographer is the ability to tell a story through his photographs, relating
first to the subject matter, and second to the person who is viewing the work.
No matter what I take an interest in as a photographer, or what kind assignment
I am asked to shoot, I always remember I am communicating through my work.
It is important to consider both the person or people who will be in the photograph and those who will see the photos. Taking a good picture is not enough. The image must come to life and tell a story. As you view my work, please remember that this is not only my passion, but my stock and trade. My goal as a photographer is to create photographs that are expressive, thought provoking and exciting. My goal as a businessman is to make my business successful.
All of the works you will see are for sale. If you see something you like but it’s not quite what you want, remember that I am willing to work under contract. My prices are based on different factors, so, even though I can quote prices based on an hourly or daily rate, I am willing to allow for some negotiation depending on how the work will be used. If you see something you like, please feel free to contact me about purchasing the work.
Digital medium and how it has affected me.
The best thing about the new digital medium is that people who are interested in my work can view it at their leisure by simply clicking onto this web site. This is great! I can be out doing what I love, TAKING PICTURES, while patrons and clients are viewing my work. I encourage you to enjoy my photos, and, if you like, to let me know what you think of my work. The open criticism of patrons is important in the development of works. Feel free to e-mail comments to my business at madmax57mrk@netscape.net.
All work displayed on this web site is under the copyright of the photographer Gary E. Krueger. A digital watermark has been applied to each image to discourage theft. A watermark-free version of each is available to encourage sales. Prices are negotiable depending on the size of the image and what it's to be used for.
